Lemons, Sea and Magic: a Dream Weekend on the Sorrento Peninsula

Departure is an exciting time for many travellers. It marks the beginning of an adventure. Today you will start to be part of a community, which will give you a rewarding travel experience. You will have the opportunity to turn a simple trip into an opportunity for personal growth, cultural enrichment, Globest welcomes you to NAPLES. After your welcome at the airport, we will head to Naples, the capital of Southern Italy, the city of Vesuvius, home of pizza… a local guide will make you discover the treasures of the historic center, the living heart of the city of Naples: the Piazza del Plebiscito, the Royal Palace, the gallery Umberto I, the Maschio Angioino, the Castel dell’Ovo, the Lungomare Caracciolo (external – no entrance included)… In the late afternoon, arrival in the area of Sorrento, famous for its gardens of citrus and lemons, the craftsmanship of marquetry and romantic sunsets over the gulf. Accommodation in hotel; dinner and overnight.

After breakfast in the hotel, from the hotel parking we will reach the port of Sorrento. From there we will depart by boat for the guided day trip to Capri. The sea caves, the cliffs with extraordinary shapes, the green of the vegetation on the steep rock walls, the incomparable views, the mix of nature, art culture and worldliness make Capri the most desired and dreamed of the islands. We will reach Anacapri with a local minibus, where we will visit Villa San Michele with its beautiful gardens and breathtaking panorama. We will return to Capri for lunch. In the afternoon, after a pleasant walk in the gardens of Augustus (entrance included), we can walk on the famous “Piazzetta”… then return by boat to Sorrento. Free time in Sorrento for shopping and tasting a homemade ice cream. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, we will leave by bus to discover the Amalfi Coast, one of the most beautiful routes that we can dream: high cliffs overlooking the sea, charming coves and small bays, terraced gardens dotted with citrus, Vineyards and olive trees, but also high fashion stores and workshops of the craftsmen make this stretch of coast one of the most loved destinations in the world… We will visit Positano, one of the most characteristic towns of the Amalfi coast with its postcard landscape, and Amalfi, the oldest of the four maritime republics, where we can visit its splendid cathedral with its imposing staircase and the bell tower covered with majolica (entrance included). We will continue to Pompeii, a Roman city destroyed by the violent eruption of Vesuvius in 79 B.C. After lunch near the archaeological park we will visit this beautiful archaeological park. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.

On this day of return, nostalgia for the places visited and enthusiasm for returning home mix. We will accompany you to the airport to help you with boarding logistics. Today we close a chapter and open a new one, we will say goodbye, but you are part of our Community, you will carry with you the promise of new future adventures even more extraordinary.  As you wait for your flight, reflect on the extraordinary experiences you will experience during your journey: from delicious dishes to natural wonders discovered along the way.
